The Independent Power Producers Forum (IPPF) is a non-profit organization made up of senior executives and decision-makers from power generation and related firms with active business commitments in Asia. It works toward a level playing field, transparency, Rule of Law and a better overall investment environment in Asia as related to the IPP industry.
Governed by a pro-active Executive Committee and Secretariat working in tandem with committee chairs and chapters across Asia, the IPPF achieves the goals set forth in our Mission and Vision Statements. Our growing presence in North America, Europe and the Gulf is a reinforcement of our Asian focus as we bring to bear global awareness and concentration on development and investment opportunities across Asia by power / energy decision-makers from around the world. We are an active catalyst for positive change and a facilitator for deal-flow with a unique “fraternal” organizational atmosphere.
We interact with like-minded international bodies and institutions, support and work with appropriate global NGO’s, educational institutions and leading academics. The IPPF supports and drives the development of industry guidelines, white papers, position statements and appropriate policy research. Most importantly, we are pro-active advocates for fair play in our industry, putting our positions forward through effective public affairs, appropriate government and multi-lateral channels.
The membership spread covers all key entities and sectors relating to power generation: Gas, Coal, Oil, LNG, Nuclear, Legal, Finance, Insurance, Security, Equipment, Infrastructure, Alternative, and Sustainable Technologies, etc. All of these disciplines come together under the umbrella of the IPPF, working toward the betterment of the industry and the societies it serves across Asia.
